Activity 8-african nationalism
1. 1 African nationalism is the nationalist political
movement of Africa to become unified as one and demand independence.
2. 2 The aborigine’s rights protecting society which
was founded in 1897, the African national congress founded in 1912 and national
congress of West Africa founded in 1920 all supported this cause.
3. 3 Pan Africanism is a movement to create better political and social communication and to unify them into 1 big community
4. 4 African nationalism is having freedom and bringing them together whereas pan Africanism is
bringing every one with different interests together.
5. 5 The sixth pan conference held in Manchester was attended
by Kwame Nkrumah, and Robert Sobukwe was the founder and leader of the pan-
Africanist congress (PAC).
6. 6 This relates to Africanism because the Africans
were taken to America as slaves and they had no rights and had to fight to
survive and he talks about their struggle.

This
is a very clever project as it teaches the community how to build houses out of
raw materials that are free and easily available to them. The community can
benefit from this project by learning new skills and techniques .they can also
pass their skills on to their children and grandchildren. it is important to
have development and reconstruction projects as we want the people’s lives and
wellbeing and it effects the HDI ranking
and the better the HDI ranking the more countries will start trading
with us and the economy will become better .and with development the people’s
health will improve as they can build clinics and hospitals . and trade will improve as most rural areas
have subsistent farms and with development they can change to farms that
produce enough goods for themselves and they can trade with other companies .most
economic activities in rural communities are on agriculture and as there are lots of rural communities if we
improve them there will be lots of agricultural improvement and produce. This
projects is seen as a sustainable development project because it does not damage the
environment , not allot of resources are
used and the ones that are used like the mud is reusable , it provides people
with their needs like shelter and warmth
and the project can now continue
for ever as it’s a skill they can teach their children .
